Having grown up in Florida, the long Dutch winters took an unexpectedly hard toll on me in my first years in the Netherlands. Through the process of making these larger-than-life raindrops, I worked my way through this difficult time and used my newly discovered tormentor as not only the source of inspiration for these sculptures but also as inspiration to return to working with glass as a true necessity of my livelihood. I hang a set of three on the wall in my own home as a beautiful reminder, but they can also be sold separately and made with a polished base to sit on a tabletop. Different sizes ranging from 7 cm to 13 cm in height. All sizes are priced the same.
